• This page covers how to install Windows 10 on an Intel or AMD machine.
• This does not cover ARM technology.

Get the iso image

• Firstly we need to obtain the Windows 10 iso.
• This can be obtained directly from Microsoft

• Follow the instructions on this page.
  • Choose
    • the right language and
    • the architecture type 32bit or 64bit
      (most likely it is 64bit, unless it is very old machine).

Make the

• We need to place the iso onto a bootable USB
• Alternatively this can be burned onto a DVD

Install using the media

1. Make sure the machine that this will be installed onto is switched off.
2. Either switch on the machine and
   • eject the DVD drive and
   • place the DVD in, and
   • reboot pressing ALT CTRL and DEL
3. Place the USB into a USB port of the machine
   • Switch the machine on
4. In either case make sure you boot onto the bootable media,
   via the BIOS menu, or the BIOS boot menu
5. When you boot into the Windows 10 iso
   • follow all the instructions on the screen.

Post installation

1. We need to activate the instane of the install.
   • Search online for a Windows 10 activation key.
