• This page will explain how to install Virtualbox onto a computer running Windows.

Please Note

• This page was created and tested using VirtualBox-5.2.16-123759-Win.exe on a computer running Windows 10.

Download

• Firstly you need to make sure you download the latest verison of VirtualBox. The downloads can be found on this page

• You can discover the version of the latest release by this page here

Install process

1. Once you have downloaded the installation package file, and ran any necessary virus checks on it, please click on it to begin
   
   
2. On the next page click on Next
   
   
3. Make sure to select the designation of where to install the installation, or keep the default location, and then press or click on Next
   
   
4. Make sure to select the required options, and press on Next
   
   
5. Make a new virtual network interface for the use of VirtualBox, by clicking Yes
   
   
6. Start the installation Wizard by pressing on Install
   
   
7. Your computer is likely to respond by asking your permission to install as this may require Administrator privileges. Click Yes on install for Administrator privileges
8. Run through the Wizard
9. Finish the installation, by ensuring the tick box to *Start Oracle VM VirtualBox…" is checked according to preference, and then click Finish
